Women empowerment through training in MISDT's Textile Manufacturing Unit
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Brahmachari Girish Ji, Chairman of Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group, inaugurated the new textile manufacturing unit of Maharishi Skill Development and Training Institute (MISDT) at Bagroda, Bhopal on Friday. With the aim of implementing skill development to make women self-reliant, the Maharishi organization is providing employment to about 250 poor rural women from this textile manufacturing unit.
Welcoming all skilled artisans, Chief Guest of the programme, Girish Ji said that Maharishi Organisaton is committed to supporting the rural poor, especially women in improving their economic and social status. In this new textile manufacturing unit, various types of readymade garments will be made by trained women. Presently, we are making uniforms of our Maharishi schools along with Khadi clothes, but we also plan to make uniforms of other schools on a larger scale in the near future. Brahmachari Ji said that our aim is to increase the production capacity of clothes soon so that these clothes can be sent for sale in various states as well as abroad.
Girish Ji further said that for the last two years, in this Maharishi Skill Development and Training Institute, rural women are being trained in various courses including sewing and embroidery. After completion of training, all these trained women will be provided employment in Maharishi Institute itself. On this occasion Girish ji congratulated the new participants of this session related to Maharishi skill development and textile manufacturing.
Shri VR Khare-Director Communication and Public Relation, urged women from rural areas to improve their family's financial condition by joining the training courses of sewing and embroidery at Maharishi Skill Development and Training Center with hard work and dedication. Khere Ji reiterated the Maharishi organization's commitment to provide 100% employment to the participants and advised the women who joined from this new session to work on the formula of ‘Never stop and keep moving forward'. Khareji informed the new members about the benefits of Transcendental Meditation and said that with its regular practice, your efficiency will definitely be increase in a few days.
Giving detailed information about this new textile manufacturing unit, Chief Coordinator of MISDT Shri N.V.S. Tyagi Ji said that more than six thousand rural women of Bhopal, Misrod, Bangarsia have registered for training here. He informed that readymade garments are also being manufactured in this new textile manufacturing unit.
The program commenced with Gurupujan as per the tradition of Maharishi Organisation. Teachers, staff, students of MISDT and family members, Maharishi Vidya Mandir schools group directors and guests were present on this occasion.
