Sydney  (Mahamedia) The third match of the 4-Test series between India and Australia is being played at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Australia won the toss and scored 166 runs, losing 2 wickets till the end of the first day's play. Steve Smith (31) and Marnus Labuschen (67) are unbeaten. Labushen made the 9th fifty of his Test career.
Australian opener Will Pukowski, playing debut test in the match, made his first fifty. The pavilion was also sent by the Indian fast bowler Navdeep Saini playing the debut test. Pukowski scored 62 and became LBW.
Out by rain had rained after the initial 7.1 overs on the first day. Due to this, 3 hours of play could not take place. After this, the game was delayed by about half an hour due to wet out field.
