NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: In IPL Cricket, Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by five wickets in Abu Dhabi last night. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Delhi posted a competitive 162 for 4 in 20 overs riding on Shikhar Dhawan’s unbeaten 69 from 52 balls and Shreyas Iyer's 42 off 33. For Mumbai, Krunal Pandya picked up two wickets giving away 26 runs.
Chasing 163 runs, the defending champions Mumbai overhauled the target with two balls to spare and claimed the top spot in the points table with five wins from seven matches so far. For Mumbai, Quinton de Kock smashed 53 runs off 36 balls and Suryakumar Yadav scored 53 off 32.
Earlier, in another fixture, Rajasthan Royals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets in Dubai. After electing to bat first, Hyderabad scored 158 for 4 wickets in their stipulated 20 overs riding on Manish Pandey's 54 off 44 balls.
In reply, Rajasthan made 163 runs for 5 wickets in 19.5 overs with the help of Rahul Tewatia's 45 off just 28 balls.
In today's encounters, Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in Sharjah at 7:30 in the evening.
