DHE to adopt NEP-based education system from July
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Department is set to draft the course of UG first year as per National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 within four months. Classes of students will begin according to new courses from July onwards. In a recent meeting with State- level task force, State Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav said that NEP will be followed from this session.
He also sought suggestion of committee members for better implementation of NEP in the State. He said that in order to promote research work, culture and folk language would be in focus. A four-member committee will be formed to research on various suggestions of educationists. DHE Principal Secretary Anupam Rajan said the new policy includes enrollment ratio up to 50 per cent.
He said that students will get employment-oriented education since beginning. Maximum numbers of autonomous colleges will set up for better result and ranking of institutes. Besides, there will be Model College in each district of State.
