MP: PG examinations begin at BU

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: The PG third semester examination of Barkatullah University (BU) has begun in offline mode with 99 per cent attendance of students at exam centres. After writing open book and online exams for almost 2.5 years now, students finally have written offline exam at centres. There are about 18,000 students registered to appear the exam. 

The exam will conclude on January 31. There are 117 exam centres in seven districts. The university has added examination centres to follow social distancing. In order to follow COVID protocols, the university has arranged additional 15 exam centres. On an average 100 students will be writing exam at each centre. BU has completed its UG first and third semester examination under UTD in offline mode successfully. 

Though students were opposing offline exams but when exam began, students were present with 100 per cent attendance. UG exams were held from January 3 to 10. Besides, examination of first semester students will be conducted from January 15 to 21 and admit cards for the same have been released on January 8. Timing of all exams has been decided as 12 noon to 3 pm. DHE has also notified to conduct only offline exam for UG and PG students. Students are in dilemma and several demonstrations have been staged by NSUI and students. 

Many students have raised their voice against the decision and demanded for online exam. In its notification, DHE has said that exams will be held in offline mode only by stricly following COVID safety protocols.
