Placement drive organized in ITI
Bhopal (Mahamedia) All business activities in the country and the state had come to a standstill due to the disaster of Corona. Employees of industries were forced to return home due to lack of employment. However, restoration of human resources became a major problem when commercial and industrial activities resumed. At this time, the placement cells established in all ITIs of the state made full contribution in providing momentum during this period. At present, a total of 46 placement drives were organized in various ITIs of the state in which a total of 1862 trainees were selected by various companies. Of these, 835 trainees have joined.
On the initiative of Technical Education Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, a special placement drive was also organized in the state for women trainees. In this, Takahata Precision India Private Limited, Rajasthan provided employment to 42 women trainees in Betul and Chhindwara and B.C. Jindal Group, Nasik provided employment opportunities to 24 women trainees in Bhopal. After the lockdown ended, Suzuki Motors] Gujarat provided employment to 122 ITI trainees in Rewa, 50 in Gwalior, 54 in Shivpuri and 62 in Balaghat. Vacmet India Private Limited selected 73 trainees in Rewa and 63 trainees in Bhopal.
It may be noted that during the lockdown, 4423 trainees were registered through Google Form QR code for online placement drive in May-July 2020. About 618 trainees were selected by the company after registration. Some of the trainees did not join following lack of transportation and due to fear of Covid-19. Out of these, 308 trainees have joined various companies.
Due to lockdown, online placement drive was organized and an action plan was made in coordination with company representatives and the information of placement drive was given to trainees through Principals and TPOs of all ITIs of the state using the digital platform. The primary selection was made by the company through telephonic interview. In the last phase, the candidates selected in the first round were interviewed through video conference and selected trainees were given joining related information.
