Schools to celebrate National Mathematics Day online today
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: TO Commemorate the birth anniversary of the great Indian Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, Rajya Shiksha Kendra has asked the district education officials to ensure celebrating the occaion as ‘National Mathematics Day’ by conducting various activities online for the students.
As per the suggested activities by the Kendra, schools can make students aware in their online classes about the great mathematician Ramanujan and his contribution in the field of Mathematics. Besides, the schools can make initiative in generating curiosity and interest in Mathematics among the students by organising online quiz and speech competitions as well. The students can participate in these competitions via online mode.
RSK has stated in its official release that on birth anniversary of mathematician Ramanujan, school principals, IASE/CTE and DIET have to conduct this quiz and speech competitions on mandatory basis.
These activities have to be conducted for students via online mode. The class teachers will conduct the activities in their online classes. Government schools that will conduct both activities will also have to give its details to the education official concerned. Later, school principals, IASE/CTE and DIET have to ensure submitting report of the same to RSK.
