Summer vacation declared in Govt schools till June 13
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: All the Government schools have declared summer vacation for students from April 15 to June 13 in a view of COVID19 pandemic. Private schools would not be conducting any class for students till April 30. Concerned over the rising situation of pandemic, School Education Department (SED) has said to declare summer vacation in all Government and aided schools from April 15 to June 13.
Holidays are also declared for the teachers along with students. Students who are residing in hostels will be sent back to home safely. Arrangement for sending students to their home will be made by school administration.
SED said that students who are writing class IX and XI final exams can submit their copies at nearby center in ten days. These students are writing their exam under open book system. Around 90 per cent students have received their question paper and answersheet in school on Monday.
Schools have asked students to submit their copies after writing answer in maximum ten days. District Education Officer (DEO) Nitin Saxena said that only students residing in containment areas are yet to get their question paper. These students will be called to receive their question paper in school after lock down gets withdrawn. There are 134 schools across district where question paper distribution was started on Monday. Students were called in schools on April 12 to collect their question paper. This arrangement has been made to follow safety protocols of COVID. Teachers asked students to write the copies themselves and do not seek help of others as this would help them to learn. Students were asked to maintain social distancing in school for collecting copies. They were allowed to enter the campus after hand sanitisation. For the first time students were allowed to carry the copy and question paper to their home instead of writing it in exam hall.
