Two-day online yoga competition for students to be organised today
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: A two-day online yoga competition for school going children will be inaugurated virtually on Saturday. This competition is being held under the aegis of District Yoga Sports Association Bhopal.
The competition will be held in different categories including age group from 11 years to 18 years. Student participants will be given total eight asanas. Among these asanas, students have to perform any five and will have to share the video recording of those five asanas within stipulated time schedule of two minutes.
Thereafter, panel of judges comprising yoga experts will be judging the competition. Around 80 students have been registered so far. Students of schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) are taking part in this digital competition and will showcase their talent.
Naushad Ali, Treasurer, Yoga Association Bhopal told that, “Online yoga competition will be held for school students so that they would get a platform to showcase their talent amid COVID-19. Cash awards will be awarded to best three performers. This competition is being held so that students can take part in various games like CBSE Nationals, Schools Games, Open State and Nationals etc.”
