UG, PG seats to remain vacant after college-level counselling
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Despite college-level counselling (CLC) for admission in UG and PG courses of private and Government colleges across State are continuing but number of applications are quite low.
Educationists said that students seem to be less interested towards college admission. For admission to PG courses CLC was started on September 17 but in three days only 9,000 students confirmed their registration and 4,814 applicants verified their documents. Last date for registration to PG CLC is September 23. Seats will be allotted on September 30.
Students having seats allotment require confirming admission by October 5. In first counselling round, DHE allotted 59,638 seats on September 10 out of this only 39,595 applicants confirmed their admission. For UG courses, 44,342 students confirmed their registration out of these only 37,000 candidates verified their documents.
Seats will be allotted to these candidates based on merit list on September 29. Registration for UG counselling has been concluded. In the first round, DHE has admitted around 24,000 students in PG courses. There are 1,29,129 seats for PG courses across the State out of which 23,621 seats were filled in first round. This year students have been asked to confirm their admission with submission of Rs 1,000 only due to emerging pandemic situation.
